She often utilises unique and creative models for both therapy and coaching, based on the use of mindfulness and connection to values.

Karen is a registered psychologist in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology, a Master of Science in Psychology (Honours), a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Supervision.

Karen is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective support to her clients. She employs a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as ACT, CBT, CAT, RFT, ACT for OCD, trauma-informed therapy, self-compassion techniques, and solution-focused therapy. Her experience encompasses a range of areas including anxiety, depression, OCD, adolescence, parenting, burnout, women’s psychology, trauma, relationship issues, and LGBTQI+ matters. Her goal is to empower clients by equipping them with practical tools and strategies to manage their mental health and improve their quality of life.

Karen resides on Auckland’s North Shore, close to the beach, with her two teenage daughters, her cats, and a cavoodle named Frankie. She enjoys the vibrant community and the tranquil environment of the shore. Karen has a passion for music and English, and she finds joy in reading. Her favourite author is Terry Pratchett, and she has recently enjoyed works like “Good Omens” and “The Jinx.” These interests inspire her holistic approach to therapy, combining creativity and empathy in her practice.
