With over 20 years of experience, I am a dedicated and compassionate psychologist specialising in holistic care. My practice focuses on an integrated approach, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-based therapy, and schema therapy. I have a deep passion for helping individuals navigate trauma, particularly childhood trauma, and I believe in providing a safe and supportive environment to make this journey as comfortable as possible.
My career in psychology began unexpectedly when I chose to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the field, and it quickly became my heart and soul. Since 2020, I have been a part of Positive Mindworks and have operated a private practice, working with a diverse range of clients including but not limited to adults/adoloscents suffering with Adjustment Stress, Depression, Anxiety , OCD and phobias. I also like to work with long term challenges like personality disorders like BPD and Complex Trauma and utilising intensive therapies like somatic experiencing and EMDR. I believe that counselling is not limited to the consulting rooms and our technology has diversified this field with greater accessibility and comfort of our own homes. I enjoy the benefit of seeing inter-state and International clients through telehealth services by Positive Mind Works.
Before working in private practice, I have also worked in Salvation Army Employment Plus program and Private Educational Institution that gives me an advantage to understand the employment and student life related challenges. I also enjoy providing group mental health awareness talks to organisations and individual NGOs as a giveaway to the community.
I hold a master’s degree in bio-research psychology from the University of Greenwich, UK, and have furthered my training in India before migrating to Australia in 2014. My background allows me to connect with culturally and linguistically diverse clients, understanding the impact of generational and transgenerational trauma on mental health.
In addition to my psychological expertise, I offer spiritual-based counseling, empowering clients through a holistic healing process integrating teachings from Yoga and somatic experiencing.
My learning has taken a new direction and opened my pathway to working with couples. I am a Gottman Trained Therapist with Level 1 and Level 2 training in marital relationship counseling and I integrate Western and Eastern approaches to support couples and individuals in enhancing their relationships and personal growth.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband and three young children—a six-year-old and two-year-old twins—reading, dancing, enjoying nature, and listening to music. I welcome anyone looking to start their mental health journey and am here to provide the support you need to take that first step.
I see clients privately, under medicare, external fundings like NDIS, TAC, Work Cover, DVA, EAP, Private Insurances like BUPA, Medibank and similar.
