Psychiatry Appointments
At Positive Mind Works, we work with a wide range of funding sources to help make psychiatry appointments accessible. Owing to recent changes with Medicare funding (Jan 2022) we are unfortunately unable to continue to Bulk Bill.
We accept referrals and funding from:
- Medicare (Australia)
- ACC (New Zealand)
- DVA (Department of Veterans’ Affairs)
- Workcover and TAC
- NDIS (self- or plan-managed)
To access psychiatry services, all new clients will need a referral from their GP.
The first step is to visit your GP and ask them to send your referral to:

Are psychiatry services available via telehealth?
Yes, we provide secure and confidential psychiatry appointments via telehealth across both Australia and New Zealand.
How much do appointments cost?

Do you offer urgent or priority psychiatry appointments?
We aim to minimise wait times and offer flexible scheduling options. Please get in touch to discuss your needs and availability.
How long does it take to get an appointment after referral?
Once we receive your referral, our admin team will contact you to arrange an appointment—often within days, depending on availability.
