NZ Registered Psychologist BAppSci(Psych), GDipTch(Primary), MEdPsych, PGDipEdPsych.Den's passion to provide support that is strengths-based, ecological, collaborative, solutions focussed and culturally responsive, underpin her practise.Den strongly feels that the key to providing effective support is building a trusting therapist-client relationship. This is something Den regularly reviews with her clients’ to ensure needs and expectations are being met.Areas Den has experience in providing psychological understanding and support include:
- Skills to explore and effectively manage feelings of worry and anxiety
- Skills for problem-solving challenging thoughts and feelings
- Children and adolescent behaviour
- Neurodiversity including: Autism Spectrum Disorders (Asperger’s Syndrome, HFA, ASD Level 1), ADHD and the impact of childhood trauma
- Use of Te Whare Tapu Whā model to support understanding and guide intervention
- Learning needs within the school environment
- Social skills understanding and development
